Northwest Tarot Symposium
And a huge last minute change
What a crazy couple of weeks I’m in the middle of. First I spent a bit over a week cruising around Alaska. Enjoying the sights, without the slightest bit of modern communications.
Last night was my final meeting as Master of Doric Masonic Lodge, up in Seattle’s Fremont District.
And starting tomorrow, I’ll be spending the next few days down in Portland, Oregon for the Northwest Tarot Symposium! I figure I’ll rest when I’m dead.
My plan for The Keystone while I’m at the Conference is to publish a list of highlights each day. Who I saw, things I encountered, what I learned. All the good stuff. I’ve done this with a Masonic Conference in the past and found it both well received by people, and a good exercise for myself. What better way to lock things into ones memory than to write them down?
So, please be on the lookout for all the highlights, all the great things about Tarot and its community.
But, if you are also planning on attending the Northwest Tarot Symposium, please note that there has been a major last minute change.
I received notice late last night that the event has been moved from the Holiday Inn along the river to the Doubletree next to Lloyd Center.
If you reserved your hotel through the Conference’s block of rooms, this is supposed to be automatic. But, just to be sure, I’d recommend that you call both hotels to make certain that you are good to go. I did and it was quick and easy.
You can cancel your reservations (or confirm that they have been canceled) at the Holiday Inn by calling: 503-283-4466.
You can make reservations (or confirm that a reservation has been made for you) at the Doubletree by calling: 503-281-6111.
If you did not reserve your room through the Conference block, or if you made reservations through a third party, you will have to do this yourself, as the Conference can only move those reservations that were a part of the block.
The cost is roughly the same at both hotels, but note that there is a parking fee of $29 per night at the Doubletree.
I know that this is a huge change, and a real pain, but we all need to be patient with the folks who are organizing this Conference for us. As someone who has been just a little bit involved with organizing large Conferences in the past I can only imagine how horribly stressful this must be for them. In the end, everything will work out great, and it will be a wonderful Conference.
If you are coming, I look forward to seeing you there!
And if you have been on the fence about coming, I understand that tickets are still available, so come join us!
Lastly, the Psychic Fair and Metaphysical Market is open to the public, without cost and should be amazing. If you are in or around Portland, you should stop on by!
