I ran across the following quote from Sai Baba today:
“Look out into the universe and contemplate the glory of God. Observe the stars, millions of them, twinkling in the night sky, all with a message of unity, part of the very nature of God.”
And pulled a Tarot card to explore it:
The truest holy book? The book that can be studied to truly come to understand the divine? Nature. Creation itself. The stars, a forest, another person. These things are chapters in the great book of nature, the great book in which divinity reveals itself.
Simplicity. Not complex formulas or rules. Just taking in all that the divine has created. In this there is true wisdom.
I read an article today about the precipitous drop in average male testosterone levels. It has been falling like crazy in recent decades.
Yet the article was not all doom and gloom, it listed a large number of lifestyle changes that could be made, sacrifices that could be made, in order to increase testosterone levels in men.
Complicated stuff. Things that must be given up. New things that must be added. Things that must be done.
But, you know what?
Every single item on that long and complicated list could be accomplished in another way. In a perfectly simple way. Each item could be accomplished by simply spending more time in the outdoors.
We’ve lost much of that outdoor time in our daily lives as our world has become more and more modern. We travel around in climate controlled cars. We work in climate controlled offices. We spend tremendous amounts of time in our climate controlled homes, consuming media through screens.
But nature is outside, waiting for us to marvel at the creation of the divine.
It’s also outside, ready to help us improve our health by simply reveling within it.
The answers to so many of our worries and concerns are simple. Yet we tend to look for, and give more credence to complex solutions.
Sometimes we do well to overcome that view. To change our perspective, to see that sometimes the simple life is best.
So let’s go outside and take the advice of Sai Baba. Let’s go outside and “Look out into the universe and contemplate the glory of God. Observe the stars, millions of them, twinkling in the night sky, all with a message of unity, part of the very nature of God.”
Not tinfoil friends, BPAs interfere with hormonal biochemistry 👨🔬🙃
Nature is regenerative. Also…tobacco use helps with testosterone. 🤣
I try not to wear my tinfoil hat in public… But it does make you wonder if going from all of the paper and cardboard packaging to plastic packaging on our food, has done anything to us.
