What an unexpected meditation for my morning! I could not only see the fires blazing but also hear the sounds of the hot flames and of the injured and their helpers calling out.

Unexpected for me too when I ran across it in my archived posts! I always get some flash of memory whenever I run across something I've written in the past, but with this post, nothing whatsoever. It caught me by complete surprise, and I still don't remember posting it.

I have to wonder if that lack of memory is because of how I wrote it.

I seriously freaked myself out a little bit, if I’m being completely honest! An actively raging fire is, as the kids say, “vibes.” I think I did that right??

I've thought quite a bit recently about how organizations thrive when their members pursue those roles within the organization that they are most suited to. And how this can be difficult to achieve, both because we often fail to see what we are actually good and bad at, and ego that drives us towards things that we might not be suited for.

Reading this vision again yesterday, that is what most struck me, the commoner and the royal understanding that each was better suited to the others role. And accepting that fact.

Yes! I have pulled the tower so often over the past month. The fool, emerging from the ashes of the king. It's perfect.

Your story aligns so strongly with the story I am telling too. It's actually a novel which I am serialising, and although it's gritty and druggy and not very medieval (stick with me), it is based in a castle with a tower and the daughter (me) must choose to take on the robes as High Priestess. Anyway. Some parallels. Thanks so much for your wisdom!
