I too am very concerned about how it will negatively impact our culture, and ourselves. I'm pretty convinced that it will turn us all into idiots, just as map apps made finding places a lot easier, but seem to have destroyed our ability to figure out where things are without using said apps.
But, I fear that I might be too old to go all Sarah Connor on AI.🤠
I agree. Not only is AI parasitic in nature in terms of the sum of the thoughts published and shared by actual humans, Chat GPT is also really sycophantic toward its users in a truly creepy way. How could you even think that you could get an accurate reading from that sort of model?
Thanks for this, you are certainly right on both points.
AI companies have stolen the work of countless writers and artists, and apparently have gotten away with it, all in an effort to make trillions of dollars while further debasing our society. I can't imagine any scenario in which these actions can be justified.
And yeah, the models do seem to be sociopathic, and getting even more so. I was disturbed to read the following essay about just that the other day:
AI is anti-human and must be destroyed now at all costs. All costs.

She ougghta be making an appearance somewhere soon, I'd think....

I appreciate this and I feel good being reminded of enchantment.🙏
Thank you very much! I'm glad that this post resonated with you!
